Full Moon over the horizon
The Moon makes no light. What you see is sunlight bounced off gray rock, bright enough to look white against a black sky. Below it is the last of the sunset: the air scatters blue light across the sky and lets gold through low on the horizon, where sunlight crosses the most air.
